Grant County Chamber of Commerce
(304-257-2722) - The mission of the Grant County Chamber of Commerce, through its members, is to promote and advance commercial, industrial, tourist and civic interests of the Grant County area while representing the area’s interests to state and national government.

South Side Depot
(304-257-9264) - In 1884, the Hampshire Southern Railroad completed the 15 mile spur from Green Springs to Romney, and in 1910 continued construction through Moorefield to Petersburg. Mr. W.C. Halterman operated it as a general merchandise store from 1911, until 1940, with the slogan "It pays to deal at the Hardware Store."

In 2003, the City of Petersburg purchased and renovated the historic building,in conjunction with the West Virginia Department of Tourism. Renamed The South Side Depot, the store now offers the atmosphere of times past with today's authentic West Virginia Heritage, The Best of West Virginia Arts, Crafts and Specialty Foods.

All works displayed at South Side Depot are of the finest quality.

Grant County Development Authority
The mission of the Grant County Development Authority is to help businesses locate or expand in Grant County with a particular emphasis on those businesses that have the potential to benefit the residents, taxpayers and workers in the county. The CGDA exists to assist businesses that add to the quality of life in Grant County.

Grant County Airport
The Grant County Airport is located near the industrial park in Petersburg, WV just off of Johnson Run Road. It provides access in and out of the area for small commuter planes and jets for personal and business purposes. This facility is a very viable part of the community and surrounding area.

The Summer Arts Program announces a week of dulcimer instruction with stories and songs of Appalachia. The instruction is Anne Lough, a nationally known traditional musician. Grades 3 and up, including adults, may register. Admission is first come, first served. Dulcimers will be provided for the class. The class runs from July 21 through July 25 from 10 a.m. to noon. Anne Lough, nationally known traditional musician, will present an evening program of Appalachian songs and stories. Joining Anne will be friends and students in an exciting conclusion to the 2008 Summer Arts Program (SAP) in Grant County.

The concert is free and open to the public. The program is Thursday, July 24, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Public Library on Mt. View Street in Petersburg. Students' work from other SAP classes will be on display. Refreshments will be served.
