 Fishing & Hunting License Information

FISHING - NONRESIDENT LICENSES AND STAMPS

Trout Fishing Stamp (Class OO) Required of holders of Class F, XXJ or LL   $15  
Conservation/Law Enforcement Stamp (Class CS/LE) - Required for all licensed anglers   $12  
Annual Fishing License (Class F)   $35  
One-Day Fishing License (Class LL)   $3  
National Forest Hunting/Trapping/Fishing (Class I) Required on National Forests in addition to Class F, QQ or LL   $2  
Junior Sportsman Hunting/Fishing/Trapping (Class XXJ) for ages 15 through 17   $15  
Note: any full-time student of state colleges and universities shall be considered as a resident and is entitled to state resident license privileges.   $15  


Purchasing A License
Licenses may be obtained as follows:
  1. At over 350 retail agent locations throughout the state and all county clerks offices. $3 issuing fee for 1st purchase and $1 for subsequent purchases.
  2. Over the Internet at www.wvfish.com. (Official DNR website $2 issuing fee )
  3. Directly from the Hunting and Fishing License Unit by phoning (304) 558-2758 . ($2 issuing fee)

HUNTING - NONRESIDENT LICENSES AND STAMPS

Conservation/Law Enforcement Stamp-required for all licensed hunters and anglers (Class CS/LE)   $12  
Hunting and Trapping License (Class E)   $110  
Bear Stamp (Class EE)   $150  
Small Game Hunting License (Class H) (Six days)   $25  
Antlerless Deer Stamp (Class NN)
Must be accompanied by a Class E license. A limited number of Class NN stamps are available for specified counties. See
Hunting Regulations (available at license agents in July) for application procedure
  $25  
Additional Firearms Deer Stamp (Class RRG)
Required in addition to Class E license. See Hunting Regualtions booklet for additional information.

Additional Deer Stamp (Class RRB and RRM)
One for archery and one for muzzleloader sold separately. Must be accompanied by a Class E license and, if for archery also accompanied by Class UU, and if for muzzleloader, also accompanied by a Class VV. See the
Hunting Regulations (available at licensed agents in July) for additional information.
